In safe seats like these, if you do not support the dominant party voting can feel a pointless exercise.   Your vote will never make any difference.   Even if you support the dominant party it can feel pointless, as they were going to get in anyway.

Voter Apathy

Turnout in general elections is at post war all time low.   In 1950 85% of the UK population voted in the general elections.  Last year, just 59% voted.  Over 30% of the people who used to vote, have stopped.

This is a shocking indictment and needs urgent address.
